BPW Sydney Club is a Lobby Group and a NGO (Non-Government Organisation)


We have a social justice commitment focused on advancing issues in relation to:
- economic empowerment for women -
- women in leadership and decision making roles -

BPW Sydney Club is an active lobby group, we take full advantage of our NGO status
to lobby government and corporate organisations in matters related to
business and professional women; economic empowerment of women
and we undertake advocacy to support women in leadership and decision making roles.

If you like to join your contribution with other professional and business women;
we can combine our energy to advance a progressive social justice agenda
focused on the women’s empowerment issues related to:

women in leadership and decision making roles

We take advantage of our Category 1 Consultative Status at the United Nations; with BPW you are empowered to make a difference at a local, state, national and international level.

Vision: 

To be a globally recognised organisation promoting development,
education, training and mentoring for all women.

Mission:

Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, experience 
and lobby for issues affecting women.

Goals:  To work towards obtaining for women:
• Equality
• Education
• Economic empowerment
• Personal development
• Political awareness

BPW Aims and Objectives:

To organise business and professional women in all parts of Australia to use their combined abilities and strength for the attainment of the following objectives:
• High standards of service in business and the professions;
• to stimulate and encourage in women a realisation and acceptance of their responsibilities to the community, locally, nationally and internationally.

To encourage women and girls to:
• acquire occupational training and advanced education;
• use their occupational capacities and intelligence for the advantage of others as well as themselves.

To work for:
• equal opportunities for women in the economic, political and social life of Australia;
• the elevation of the status of women;
• the removal of all forms of discrimination;
• the promotion of world wide friendship, co-operation and understanding between business and professional women.

To collect and present the views of business and professional women in Australia to the public, to responsible Australian authorities and to Local, State, National Governments and the United Nations.
